Richard Sanchez
Mr. Richard Sanchez is currently the managing partner of Visibility Management. LLC. Richard is joined with nine senior partners in Visibility Management.
Mr. Sanchez was Founder, CEO and President of Advantica up to March 2014. Advantica offered comprehensive eye care services to over 2.5 million members. With corporate offices located in Clearwater, Florida, Advantica is comprised of a network of over 24,000 eye care providers including optometrists, retail optical locations, ophthalmologists and eye care surgical facilities. Advantica was successful in contracting with twenty Medicare Advantage and Medicaid health plans. Delta Dental of Missouri acquired Advantica in February 2010.
Mr. Sanchez was the Executive Vice President, Secretary and Director of Vision Twenty-One, Inc., headquartered in Largo, Florida.
Vision Twenty-One, Inc. was a publicly traded eye care physician practice management company. The company developed integrated networks of optometrists, ophthalmologists, refractive surgery centers, ambulatory surgery centers and retail optical centers, to provide the full continuum of eye care services in local markets. Vision Twenty-One managed 2.0 Million lives under risk and ASO arrangements. During 1997, Mr. Sanchez was instrumental in the planning and implementation of a successful Initial Public Offering and a Secondary Offering on the NASDAQ Exchange. Prior to joining Vision Twenty-One, Mr. Sanchez was with the Exxon Corporation for over 20 years in various marketing, operating and executive positions. His last position with Exxon Corporation had an operating and financial responsibility in excess of $600 million as the Western Division Manager.
Mr. Sanchez is recognized for having achieved unprecedented managed care growth and operating revenue for Vision Twenty-One and Advantica. As the managing director of Visibility Management Company, he also speaks frequently on health care topics.
In 1976, Mr. Sanchez received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Florida State University with postgraduate work from Temple University, and he is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators. Mr. Sanchez serves as the Chairperson for Prevent Blindness, past board member of All Children’s Hospital Foundation, American Red Cross-Tampa Chapter, The YMCA of St. Petersburg, FreeFall Theatre and was also past chairman of NAVCP (National Association of Vision Care Plans), Mr. Sanchez was a past member on the editorial advisory board for EyeCare Business, board advisor to Spin Doctor Golf and a Director of The Children’s Home and Vice Chairman of the Bay Ballet Theatre.
